Hotel Van Dyk has four meeting rooms:
- The “Sherwood Suite” is the largest with seating for around 200 delegates.
- The “Devonshire Suite” can be used with the Sherwood Suite to increase capacity by 40, or on its own as a self contained suite.
- The Bowden Restaurant has a seating capacity of up to 60 delegates
- The private Bowden Library has a seating capacity for up to 16 delegates.
All four suites are equipped with the latest facilities for conferencing, seminars, presentations and product launches.
All rooms are equiped with complimentary WI-FI access WiFi Zone
We also offer secretarial services, photocopying and equipment hire.

“Winter Wedding”
We recently held our wedding in December at Van Dyks and we cannot praise them enough.
The run up to the wedding was smooth with Natalie on hand to answer any questions. On the actual day Natalie was fantastic and is a credit to the hotel. She was calm and relaxed but at the same time ensured everything was in order to make our day perfect.
If you are looking for a wedding venue that can offer you great food, a warm atmosphere and a personalised service then book an appointment with Natalie and see if Van Dyks can make your day as special as ours was.
“Gorgeous boutique hotel with fabulous food!”
I absolutely love this hotel. I eat here with my family and partner on a regular basis and have been to a few of the events (comedy night, Christmas eve dinner) and stayed over, all of which have been great.
The decor is what I would describe as boutique style and personally think its spot on. Food in both the grill and the Bowden is brilliant, eaten here about 20 times over the past year and never had a bad meal. Prices are very reasonable for the food, but like others, I do think the drinks are a bit on the expensive side.
We couldn't fault the stay we had on Xmas eve 2010. The hotel was quite quiet so they upgraded the room, breakfast and service was great.
I love the hotel that much that we are planning on having our wedding here next year, as it is everything we want for our big day.
Van dykes is by far the best place to eat and stay around the local area!
Valetine's Weekend at Hotel Van Dyk

“Amazing Hotel”

We got married here October 2011. We could not have chosen a more fantastic hotel to get married in. From booking the venue in 2010, the staff - especially Natalie (our wedding co-ordinator) could not do enough for us or bend enough for any of our demands! The food was superb both in the restaurant and on the actual day. Nothing was too much trouble, including adding a few tweaks to some of the buffet food at night.
The hotel itself was superb, a great mix of new and yet characterful at the same. We loved how all of the rooms are individually designed. The ballroom was very dynamic, used as the ceremony room, for the wedding breakfast and the evening do. Each time it looked great, loved the all the drapes, very elegant room. We loved it's uniqueness which is why we chose it, we didn't want a generic chain hotel and it's far from that.
We would like to say thank you for making our special day run smoothly and making it a fantastic day for all. We could not have asked for anything better on all fronts.
We would recommend this to anyone, a top hotel.

Alberts The Grill Room a BIG success
The Hotel Van Dyk recently re-opened Alberts The Grill Room, it has gone through an extensive renovation to open up the restaurant which has made it larger with more seating. It has been completely redecorated with a light and airy feel with fantastic fixtures and fittings. The Hotel Van Dyk have been delighted by the reaction of the customers and can only thank them for their continued business.
