We have been planning our daughter’s wedding for the past two years, and I can honestly say that the Hotel Van Dyk in Clowne certainly ticked all the boxes of our requirements and more.

The hotel has recently undergone a huge refurbishment to very high standards, and the quality is amazing. Both interior and exterior looks fantastic - the atmosphere is both welcoming and professional.

The staff seem genuinely proud of their working environment, which has a very positive impact, and the new owners are very enthusiastic about showing guests the improvements which has been made and are going to be made in the coming months.

We We walked into the reception ballroom and gasped. I can’t think of words to describe how brilliant it looked.

Everything was colour co-ordinated to our wedding and everything, we’d asked for was given. We had home-made vegetable soup for starters, the roast beef melted in your mouth, and the strawberries and cream dessert was a work of art.

We stayed at the hotel overnight on one of the newly decorated and upgraded rooms. Well, what can I say, the co-ordination of the soft furnishings and presentation is second to none - certainly no expense has been spared. I couldn’t sleep, I was in awe of the room!

I can’t thank the whole team enough for giving us a fabulous day and certainly a day to remember. A great bug whopping thank you from the Denman family and guest to the staff and owners!
